Teemu's whole name is Teemu Ilmari Selanne.

Teemu's babyhood home was in Finland in Lauttasaari, Helsinki.

Still, Teemu's childhood home was in Espoo, Finland.

Teemu was about 4 years old when he first put hockey skates on

Teemu's first hockeyteam was EPS.

When Teemu was a kid he was a very fast runner.

His first medal came from running the 3000m run gold medal.

Teemu played both hockey and soccer in EPS.

Teemu won his first hockey medal at the age of ten, bronze with EPS. The tournament was held outdoors. There were no many big hockey arenas in Finland at that time.

When Teemu played his first game in the SM-league in Jokerit he also scored a goal.

Teemu has so much medals from his junior career, that if i'd list all of them it would be pages and pages of lists.

... I have to say Teemu is one of the best hockey players from our time.

Teemu has three children named Eemil, Eetu and Leevi.

Has a positive attitude, you hardly ever see him in a bad mood.

Donates lots of money every year to the Finnish Children hospital.

Has made a charity foundation
